Terms of Use
Spirit Battery · Last updated 17 October 2026
These are the terms on which you may use Spirit Battery. By using the app you agree to them. They are written to be read, not to be impenetrable.
Age
Spirit Battery is intended for people aged 18 and over. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or older.
The app can be used without an account by anyone. In that case every prayer stays on your own phone and nothing is sent to us.
If a person under 18 creates an account by stating an age that is not their own, that is outside our control. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has an account, email us and we will delete it.
What Spirit Battery is
A tool for recording your own prayer. You set a daily goal, the app times your prayer, and it shows you your own record. That is all it is.
It is not a religious authority. It makes no claim about what prayer should be, how much is enough, or what your record means spiritually. A number on a screen is not a measure of a person.
Your account
- Keep your Google sign-in secure; anyone with it can reach your record
- One account per person
- Your prayers are yours — we claim no ownership of them
- You can pause or delete your account at any time
What you may not do
- Break into, interfere with, or overload the service
- Attempt to read another person's prayers
- Use the app to break the law
- Resell or redistribute the app as your own
We may suspend or remove an account that does these things.
The record, and its limits
We work hard to keep your record accurate, and the app is built so that a recorded prayer cannot be quietly altered. But software runs on real phones: a device can fail, a battery can die, an operating system can stop a timer.
Spirit Battery is provided as it is. We do not promise it will never lose a session, never be unavailable, or always be perfectly accurate. We keep nightly backups and do our honest best.
If something goes wrong
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app.
Nothing in these terms removes rights you have that cannot be removed — including your rights under consumer law and under data protection law. Where a term conflicts with such a right, the right wins.
Money
Spirit Battery is free to use at present. There are no subscriptions, no purchases and no advertising in the app today.
Paid features are planned. When they arrive, these terms will be extended to cover the price, what each plan includes, renewals, refunds and what happens when a subscription ends — and you will be told in the app before anything changes. Nothing you already have will be taken away without notice.
Your privacy
How your data is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Prayer records reveal religious belief and are treated with the care that deserves.
Ending it
You may stop using the app at any time, and delete your account from Profile → Taking a break? → Delete my account, or from the deletion page.
We may end or suspend access if these terms are broken, or if we stop operating the service. If we ever shut the service down, we will give notice and a way to take your record with you.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer law.
